Lolita Stewart-White
AFib (Revolution Redux)
My heart has grown wings:
jagged rhythms
& thumps,
the striking
of drums:
Doctors dart
about with Mason jars
but they can’t catch my soul
brotha funk,
on beat one
throbbing heat,
that melts
their winter
& gives way to spring
